Maria is from Ecuador. For almost a decade now she has been living with my grandmother Rosita in a village in La Mancha, where she looks after her and the home.
I film their relationship and daily activities; Safran flowers fill the living room table, bringing together more women and stories. Life penetrates the heart of the family home through the window, the cats demand their food, the trees watch us and the world breathes in a fragile harmony, shaken by Maria’s request for a holiday.
