Yan Pei-Ming is nowadays the most famous Chinese painter in France. Last summer the contemporary art centre (FRAC Champagne-Ardennes) invited him to transform the exhibition rooms of the centre in a large workshop where he will paint Yard/Funerals.
I stayed one month long in immersion with Ming and observed the evolution of his work. This is a document without concession where it is possible to follow the artist in his creation, his doubts, his regrets and his beliefs.
