This film is an intimate voyage into the life and work of William Christie and Les Arts florissants. Conductor, harpsichordist, historian of French Baroque Music, William Christie is also the founder of Les Arts florissants recognised as one of the foremost vocal and instrumental Baroque Music ensembles in the world today.
Shot over a period of three years, the film follows William Christie and his musicians on tour from Aix-en-Provence to New York via Boston, Caen, Paris, London...
The film includes excerpts from several productions : Lully's "Atys", Rameau's "Castor et Pollux", Monteverdi's "Madrigaux", Marais's "Alcione", Purcell's "The Fairy Queen", Rameau's "Les Indes galantes".
