How does one portray a man who refuses to talk about himself? That’s the challenge taken up by director Vassili Silovic in this documentary dedicated to Philippe Starck. The infamous designer set the rules right from the start: there shall be no digging into his past, no talking about his career or even design, and none of his pieces shown.
If this documentary was to be made, it should be about his mind: it should show the way his very brains function. Challenged to "this tour de force", Vassili Silovic has doubts, accepts, and then enthusiastically rises to the occasion. The film is a two-men piece of work, where two personnalities work together on a crazy project.
