Sled Dog Soldiers
Marc Jampolsky
2011 - 90 min - Vidéo - Couleur - France

August 1915: two officers of the French Army embark on an incredible secret mission to smuggle four hundred and fifty sled dogs out of Alaska and Canada and bring them to Europe. Their goal is immensely important: no less than saving the lives of thousands of French soldiers by guarding the mountainous Eastern Front from German invasion.
Captain Louis Moufflet and Lieutenant René Haas, aided by the legendary dogsled driver Scotty Allan, have only one hundred and twenty days to cover 10,000 kilometres and accomplish their mission under the noses of a dangerous and brutal enemy.
This perilous race against time leads us across vast and ominous stretches of Alaska, through the sumptuous landscapes of Quebec and finally to the snow-covered forests of eastern France.
To succeed in their mission our three adventurers will have to cross a continent, navigate the icy Gulf of Saint Lawrence and cross a submarine-infested ocean while caring for a pack of unruly animals.
Will they make it?
