2009 - 12 min - Couleur - France

ANIMATED DOCUMENTARY
The Famadihana, a Madagascan custom meaning "turning over the dead", gives rise to major celebrations, dances, zebu sacrifices but above all demonstrates the importance of ancestor worship in Madagascan society. The story is told in the form of a travel diary, tracing the journey of a Western traveller confronted with these different customs. The pages of the diary turn, the drawings come alive, we travel through the lush landscape of Madagascar before being initiated into the people's culture.
