Dr Arcadio Rodaniche is undoubtedly an exceptional person : for him squids are creatures in their own right and deserve much more than a culinary interest.
For several years, in his scientific base on a tiny island in the archipelago of San Blas off the Portuguese coast, he has been studying meticulously the behaviour of these creatures. We must not forget that the cephalopoda (squids, seiche, octopuses etc.) are considered to be the most intelligent invertebrates in the planet. Their social and reproductive behaviour is absolutly surprising. Their capacity of changing colour depending on their environment or a simple emotional change makes them ever more spectacular to watch.
The film reveals the importance of Dr Arcadio's different activities especially his observations when diving.
