Petit Vietnam
Philippe Rostan
2007 - 52 min - DV Cam - Couleur et Noir & Blanc - France

On May 1954th, the French Capitulation in Dien Bien Phu puts an end to a century of colonial presence in Indochina. French nationals are driven back to France, with their Viet spouses and Eurasian children, in several camps. This documentary tells the story of these women arriving in the first camp in Auvergne. Their actual integration is a result of a long and resigned road. Today, the pagoda in the middle of the village symbolise the image of two cultures that learnt to know each other.
