Two children, one Colombian, Pablito, the other French, Aurore, are penfriends.
Between them a story is woven about the adventures of a wooden toy heron which is produced in Colombia by the hands of an incredible craftsman. The heron goes off on a long voyage towards Europe and Paris and becomes a link between the two children.
It is a film about the discovery of two worlds, two cultures, two ways of living that come together and make us dream.
It is another way of imagining North-South relations and of thinking about them for the future. The idea of solidarity in trade is present in the film : it is also the story of a group of Colombian craftsmen who market their products in Europe and are paid at the right price.
