Annette Dutertre
1993 - 53 min - 35 mm - Couleur - France
Xavier Dutertre is seventy eight. He has been a farmer for forty five years except for the five years he spent in Nazi German prison camps.
Seen through his daughter's eyes we share four seasons with him and his family, at Chanteloup near Le Mans. He tells us how he managed to preserve his liberty, free both as man and as farmer. He knows the price of freedom. He explains why it is not possible for farmers today to be free any more.
