Furiani, un deuil impossible
Bernard Boespflug
2002 - 57 min - Beta numérique - Couleur - France

On 5 May 1992, during the semi-final of the French Cup, Bastia/OM, the terraces of the Furiani stadium collapsed. The toll was very heavy : 17 dead, nearly 2000 wounded. And it was the young people, the children of Corsica, who were most severely struck down, 42% of the wounded were under 17 years old. They already form the Furiani generation.
Ten years later, Corsica is still sick from the disaster of May 1992. The wound has not closed. Why come back to Furiani ten years later in a film, if not to ask questions about this dis-ease ? Take up the investigation again, but in a wider sense, analysing the official enquiry, with hindsight, seeking the indications that the Corsicans have left to express their pain, to speak again.
