November 6th 2004, nine French soldiers from “Licorne” forces were killed in Bouaké in Ivory Coast. They came as part as peacekeeping mission. Killed by rockets thrown by two Sukhoi 25 of the army of President Gbago. Around forty French were also injured during this attack.
Three years after this drama, the soldiers’ families are desperate to know the truth, in spite of a meticulous investigation led by the examining magistrate, Brigitte Raynaud.
During this investigation, the magistrate discovers that French Authorities do not want the truth to come out of the dark. She has to compose with the reluctance of the Army to give their files and conflicting relationships between Laurent Gbagbo and Jacques Chirac.
Magali Serre comes back on this impossible investigation where sensitive relationship between Ivory Coast and France, States interests and secrets of France-Africa are firmly kept hidden.
