Claude Lanzmann
Il n'y a que la vie Série-Collection : Empreintes

Sylvain Roumette
2009 - 52 min - HDV - Couleur - France

There is a before-Shoah and an after-Shoah, the film-event by Claude Lanzmann. Both in the point of view and knowledge of his subject – the extermination of European Jewry – and in his artistic approach – the cinema. To analyze this double dimension – a film that is at once a work of art and a life experience – this film intimately mingles gravity and humour and is a portrait of a man who dedicated his life to a mad love of existence.
