2008 - 66 min - Beta numérique - Couleur - France, Irlande, Liban
A Paris-based film director returns home to his village in South Lebanon after the 2006 war. He witnesses how people are coping with the destruction. A visually striking, first-person, diary form piece, the resulting film is a collection of conversations, observations, and reflections about rebuilding and surviving, but also, inevitably, about the cycles of life, destiny, religion, war, peace... and olive-picking. Above all, it is an intimate and special insight into a community, starting with the director's own family.
