From all over the world people come to visit Cézanne's atelier, the place where a pictorial revolution transformed art, perception and life itself. It all happened here in the Provence, through solitude and hard work in the midst of familiar objects and the blue-grey walls painted by the master himself.
There are three custodian guides holding it all together: they take care of the place and its visitors, allowing remembrance to enliven the air and the silence of winter. Snippets of talk about beauty, a sense of presence both visible and invisible, vanities tasting of apple.
The off-season is a good time to meet and joyfully share discoveries.
