The life of the Mapuche Indians, an ethnic minority that has always suffered abuse and exploitation. The film clearly highlights Allende’s efforts to put a stop to this injustice, through laws and concrete reforms, by assimilating the Mapuche people into the urban community and finally recognising theirrights and lands.
