We observed the city of Abidjan through what children and teenagers – who live in its different areas – can see, perceive and imagine.
"Abidjan through the eyes of its children" is made of 31 minute documentary and a 16 minute cartoon.
The real shooting shows children in their everyday life – more precisely the most destitute children – doing all kinds of jobs to earn a little money.
The cartoon, which was created by children, tells the story of a young boy called Guédé whose adventures take place where they live everyday.
In creating their characters and the setting of their film, the children have drawn their own city.
Here, imagination and creativity are tools used to investigate and understand reality.
