Since sixteen years, Evelyne Chancel sings Edith Piaf every friday evenings in Paris to the "Bistrot de la Gaîté". Serge his husband, accompanies her from her beginnings to help to and to presents the show.
This movie is the story of two atypical artists both with their personalities, united by an agitated personal life.
The strong personality of Evelyne Chancel is our guide in backstage of the "Bistrot de la Gaîté".
We meet a woman remarkable on the scene really touched by the songs from Edith Piaf she interprets religiously.
Their relationship becomes apparent through their intimate acquaintance in a place they know perfectly, and is also regulated by the daily gestures repeated and played since sixteen years.
This movie is the witness of the last moments of Evelyne in the "Bistrot de la Gaîté". The performance in this place has ceased to exist. That's why it is so touching.
