The Brouage marsh in Charente-Maritime is one of the most important fresh-water marshes in France and Europe.
Some other species introduced by man, most often of exotic origin, are beginning to invade the place, to the detriment of endemic species some of which are disappearing.
Between this new biological imbalance and certain alarming human activities, the maintaining of the wild character and the indigenous fauna of the marsh now seems to be jeopardised…
