After the death of her husband, Choumicha becomes a woman taxi driver in Sidi Bel-Abbès. Choumicha will introduce us to this city and the conditions in which she undertakes her profession as woman cabby, and show us how she perseveres in a job usually reserved for men, and a city rife with "terrorist violence".
With her, we will meet other women, who, like herself, find themselves in the border zone between the "traditional women's world" and the "traditional men's world" ; between what is allowed for women by the society, and what is disallowed.
Choumicha with her taxi will be our through-line. As we follow her in her work, she will acquaint us with her city introducing us, in the course of her travels, to other women.
