During the year 2011, the French Comic Artist Edmond Baudoin received a commission from the Georges Pompidou Centre and Dupuis Publisher to write a book about the work of the painter Salvador Dalí. This book was intended to accompany the major retrospective dedicated to the Catalan master at Beaubourg, at the end of 2012.
Little accustomed to doing commissioned work, and not himself a fan of Dalí's style, Baudoin nevertheless accepted the challenge to fully immerse himself in the life and work of Dalí.
In his Paris studio, in a trip to Cadaqués (Dalí's birthplace), and then on the road to Nice (his birthplace), Baudoin, in his new book, guides us through his own creative process and through the evolution of his work.
