When fate brings the festival organizer, Michael Dreyer, to a small bar in Ürümchi (capital of Uyghur Autonomous Region of China) where Perhat Khaliq and his band play to earn a living, he is instantly fascinated by Perhat’s extraordinary voice and his rock interpretations of traditional Uyghur and Kazakh music, and is determined to have the band perform in Germany, at the Morgenland Festival Osnabrück 2010. An adventure full of obstacles, emotions and beautiful performances.
