Plutôt mort qu'esclave
Georges Goldman
1998 - 58 min - Betacam SP - Couleur - France

Until 1944, diplomatic relations between Vichy and Budapest were conducted cordially and the French were well received in Hungary where the prisoners of war who had escaped from camps in Germany took refuge.
How could they take up the fight against the Nazi forces again ?
On the initiative of two regular officers, 203 French volunteers went to join up with the Slovak units and the Soviet partisans to take part in the Slovak national insurrection on 28 August 1944.
Letting these combatants speak is to pay them tribute and to say that their lesson in Resistance is still topical.
