The Non-Faire is a studio born in 1983 for initiative of Christian Sabas, in a ward of the psychiatric hospital 'Maison Blanche' (Neuilly sur Marne); today threatened of closing.
In more than 20 years, this studio, with the people that have frequented it, has acquired a key-role between the institutional psychiatry and the struggle for the autonomy and the life of the people touched by the mental illness.
These people act through their paintings, their music, their writings and their projects; they act with others people passing at the studio like artists, researchers, philosophers and social assistants.
It is a place where madness finds a possible space: the art is not art-therapy but a fight for the life, against all human, social and artistic marginalization.
The film redraws this passage among the hospital, the studio and a fight of possible autonomy.
