The school on the camping-ground takes the children from 3 to 12 years old, but on the other hand the adolescents of 13 to 18 years old are no longer at school and are completely at leisure. Those who are regularly on the groung are those of the poorest families who travel the least.
These young people know the groung "by heart", are bored there, unoccupied and aimless. fragile and the most likely to fall into delinquancy, drugs or violence their vulnerability is as great as their need for something to do and their desire to be accepted particularly by the residents.
That is why the association of the People of the road (the gypsies), in agreement with the young people, suggested an artistic work. Jean-Luc Breteau, a plastic artist, helped and advised in the creation of a mosaic from August to October 1992.
