Between documentary and fiction, this film is a sensitive investigation on the population from the Inner Niger Delta and on Bouba’s quest for identity, a fisherman on the river. This film was born from a triple meeting: meeting with the country, meeting with the river, meeting with men… Quest and investigation, this is the objective of this film. Understanding the river through a mediator: Bouba.
Since several years, the rise of the water level is high and Bouba’s life conditions have improved. He decides to find back his native village so I can meet his family and especially his mother. This is the occasion to meet his Fulani friends, Bozos, Rimaïbé who talk to us and show us the everyday life with the river.
