The attitude of the populations in the south of France towards Spanish immigrants has changed. Whereas they were feared and rejected after the waves of immigration – labour force after the First World War, refugees after the Civil War – the situation turned in their favour when Franco died.
Today the Spaniard has almost become a cultural model for the southern French. Using the path followed by Spanish immigrants and the French fascinated by their culture, the film testifies to successful integration.
