The film shows five residents of the 14th district of Marseille walking on their every day ways. Five itineraries, 5 sequences.
On the split screen we see the way forth and back at the same time. During the same sections appear also the other walkers on one of the screen parts. We hear them giving directions, share their thoughts, plans and dreams. As in a game images and words fall into place to form more or less random portraits of these figures constantly moving.
At the end of their walks the pedestrians disappear in the barren landscape of motorways, tenement blocks and warehouses. Yet these passers-by communicate through their presence in the urban territory that walking means being visible and fragile, means existing, thinking and dreaming.
