For Maurice Patry, everything started when he was 13 years old, in the first days of 1937... He walked in the menagerie of the "Jardin des Plantes" when his eyes were attracted by a more enigmatic board than the others : Babiroussa, coming from : Célèbes, Moluques.
In the den, he saw a sort of boar without any hairs, built like a curious little hippopotamus, coming directly from the prehistory ! In order to accentuate his unlikelihood, this animal has got, on the edge of the snout, two rolled tusks. Then Papiroussa ventured alone to find this animal no occidental had seen at a wild state since a century. His goal : one of the 13,600 islands of the Indonesian archipelago, the Sulawesi island.
During his fourth journey there, he finally saw "his" first wild babiroussa. After that, he went there 10 more times in order to go further in his observations about babiroussa and in his discovery of the world. He filmed all his adventures, his misadventures, his human or animals meetings, which have no precedent.
