Between the Rhône and the Lac du Bourget there are some 500 hectares of one of the last great French continental marshes where five butterflies of European interest live. What is a "butterfly follow-up" ? With a scientific team from the Conservatoire, we set off to discover the damier de la succise, the cuivré des marais, the fadet des laîches (the most threatened Lepidopteran of humid zones in Europe), the azuré de la sanguisorbe, and the azuré des paluds. A new equilibrium has to be found, in which the farmers become the guarantors of the permanence of the marshes.
