This documentary talks about Gerardo's exploit, a deaf-blinded young boy who decides to do the Journey of Santiago from Roncesvalles with his friend Javier, a local police officer from Vigo who has followed him for thirteen years. With this trip as a beginning point, "The Way of the Senses" tries to approach the situation of the deaf-blinded community through Gerardo, revealing the advances and the mistakes that have been made in the area of the deaf-blinded people.
To use this documentary about Gerardo to show all the work that hasn't been done yet to achieve the complete integration, is the base of a story full of enthusiasm and keen on a life to be lived.
