The Island
Julia Laurenceau
2016 - 47 min - HD - France

A Greek island, 10 hours by boat from the continent : Amorgos.
Monochrome landscapes, ceremonies with ancestral accents, fixed stares.
In the movie, imaginary worlds, life accounts, legends and reality mingle to draw the portrait of an ancient and haunted island. The landscape is like an echo of these stories - at times appeased, at times menacing, always strange. This movie is a dialogue between people, animals, landscapes and memories.
This movie is a poem.
