This film was written in the context of reception in the centre pénitentiaire des femmes (Women’s Prison) in Marseilles.
Imprisonment is the ordeal of the vacuum. Ordeal in the sense of bearing and surpassing a situation of constraint. An imposed act which in its surpassing refers us back to human dignity.
This film is a tale which appeals to our view as children. Three women convicts become three characters : a little dancer, a clown and a passenger... They speak to us about crossing a territory inside the prison, the inside of the inside, in a manner of speaking. A territory common to all into which we can project ourselves.
