L'Eau de là
Philippe Maurel
2000 - 28 min - DV Cam - Couleur - France

The town of Toulon was born in a natural basin that is considered to be the most beautiful in Europe... It gets its name from Telo, the Celtic god of water... We are here in the heart of Provence ; water is a myth. It is hidden, and much coveted. Its origins are mysterious...
A team of speleologists carried out the enquiry by questioning locals, environmental militants and scientists. During a pedagogical sequence they reveal to us the results of their work on the trail of subterranean water. We follow the itinerary of the drop of water through its cycle to its marriage with the "big blue"...
This is an opportunity to mention the problem of the protection of water and more generally the problem of the environment. It is a heart-felt cry for future generations combining science, extreme activities, dreams and reality about the state of our planet...
A certain way of looking at "Aïguo d’eici"...
