Je me nomme Druillet

Victor Druillet lived through the great changes that left a deep mark on Europe in the first half of the 20th century, a time of great strife that still weighs heavily on the lives of many families.
Years later, his son, Philippe, a straight-talking leftist and leading French artist, who revolutionized the world of comics in the 1970s, decided to delve into his father's past, about which he knew very little since his father had died when he was only a child. Although Philippe suspected that his father had operated within military, police and
secret service circles and had collaborated with Pétain's Vichy regime, he was unaware of the sordid details. After years of a long internal struggle, Philippe made the difficult choice to confront the facts, and though restoring historic memory comes at a price, he felt it was something he had to do because "those who had suffered during that period had the right to know the truth."
