Harold Vasselin
2016 - 88 min - Film Autre - Couleur - France

Between the man and the wheat, the harnessing relationship lasts for 10 000 years. At first, this relationship between men and wheat was the basement of the settlement of human and the economic exchange between the population, and this relationship still lasts today: new tool, new knowledge, old history.
Which are the plants we are going to create tomorrow? For which kind of farming and which kind of food? From the sowing to the harvest, at the seasons' rythm, Harold Vasselin followed the work of farmers, seed company, geneticians, all working around the wheat and the creation of new kind of wheat, during many years. Their work is different, as their visions of the plant they inscribe in it. Harold looked at their gesture, listened their words, and observed their relationships with the plant and with each others, because since always, and maybe forever, the wheat are social. So what is the kind of society we are growing for tomorrow?
