The film deals with the question of how ideology performs itself in public space through mass performances. Marta Popivoda collected and analyzed film and video footage shot between 1945 and 2000 in Yugoslavia. By focusing on State performances as well as counter-demonstrations, she traces through images how communist ideology was gradually exhausted.
