A letter by Ion Marin, a model and modern farmer, serves as commentary to the images which present the myth of the tractor, developed at this time in various socialist countries, describing how he tries to convince his village neighbours to put their land together and to buy a tractor to improve production. The quality of the photography and the dramatization recall the agit-prop works of Eisenstein and Dovjenko.
