Nishinoyama House is a residential complex emblematic of contemporary architecture in Kyoto. Designed by Kazuyo Sejima (Sanaa) and built in 2013, it is composed of ten units linked together with shared roofs and gardens. In the form of a diary, the film explores the lifestyle in one of these units, questioning the notion of community that links up the residents of this housing complex. In the light of the architect’s words, it recalls the story and the challenges of this project, referring to the dialogue with the project client.
