Les États généraux du film documentaire 2009 Political Views of Documentary La République

La République
Denis Gheerbrant
2009 - France - Couleur - 90'

"La République at Marseille is a wide avenue from the Haussmann era bought by two development companies. It must therefore be beautiful and the city has built a tramway. The inhabitants speak, gather to exchange their experiences, mould them into knowledge and answer the "Americans" – one of the developers was founded by a Texan pension fund. They were supposed to disappear, they have been revealed. Vincent, Jules and Monique, Mme Ben Mohamed and Mme Cary, some have a political past, others not, some have had a tumultuous life, others not, a tiny republic is being set up here."
