Architecture, scenery, street scenes, the fauna, industry, craftsmen, agriculture, marine transport and leisure activities... Poul Henningsen crosses Denmark from North to South, East to West to give a global image of the country, offering a mosaic of daily life. Criticised by its commissioner, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as being too poetic, too impressionist, and containing too much humour, these are the same characteristics which later made it a reference in the history of Danish documentary cinema.
