This film is a “portrait” of the actress Bernadette Lafont who started her career in cinema in 1957 with François Truffaut's first film Les Mistons, then became empassioned with the theatre after the play La Comtesse sanglante in 1978. How is it possible to deal with the diversified career of this atypical actress? The approach chosen is to paint a portrait opposite to the mythification of the star in the style of Marylin Monroe: Barnadette Lafont changes as she progressively enters the characters in whose service she devotes her “nature”. These multiple appearances are so many masks where the make-up and the natural dispute the face reflected in the mirror.
