Marie Berthélius
1997 - 55 min - Vidéo - Couleur - France, Danemark, Suède

Since 1946, cinema from Northern European countries has been very often participated to the "Festival international du film de Cannes". Showings of Scandinavian films in the former and the new Festival Palace in Cannes allowed the public to discover new mentalities, new landscapes with an exceptional light and an exceptional cinematographic art. Scandinavian directors like Bo Widdeberg, Jon Troëll, Bille August, Lars von Trier and "la palme des palmes", Ingmar Bergman, are very famous all over the world and they make part of the world cinema patrimony.
This documentary shows this cinema through his participation to Cannes Festival with a very personal tone. A lot of films extracts with interviews of actors, directors and Northern critics can be seen in this film.
