Boy Saloum, this is the story of four young Senegalese: Thiat and Kilifeu, very popular rap artists of the country, Denise, an IT specialist, connected on the social networks and Fadel, an investigative journalist. They are 30 years old, they’ve got energy. They’ve got fire in their bellies. They’ve got charisma.
In the suburb of Dakar, in 2011, these four friends create a public-spirited movement which is going to fire Senegal: "Enough is enough"
In a few weeks, they take the youth of the country with them, invent the african way of dissidence and start the first movement of the civil rights on the scale of the black continent. They write the History by becoming the leaders of the social contesting against the government.
"Enough is enough" movement persuade more than 350 000 young people to join on electoral rolls, make a petition circulate which will collect more than one million signatures and are everywhere on the media of the whole world.
They become the doors-words of an African youth suffocated by unemployment and jobs without future, submitted to the diktat of an globalized economy, deprived of good educational and health systems; a youth which dreams to embark on old and miserable boats and which hopes for a better life.
The movement "Enough is enough" is going to convince this Senegalese youth that its future is in the country, but that it belongs to it to build it, by beginning with the essential: fire the old president clung to his power. "Enough is enough" is going to reveal in the whole world that this Senegalese youth is opened on the world, eager for culture, attached to the democracy. A youth which could be an accelerator of the History.
A youth which, in one year, put all Africa in the XXIth century.
Audrey Gallet, Albert Londres Prize in 2012, had anticipated this movement. Since the end of 2009, she films Thiat, Kilifeu, Denise and Fadel with a great closeness and a beautiful intimacy. So she found herself inside of the movement, bringing back exceptional images: birth and explosion of a revolution.
The movie puts the first marker of a radical change of look on Africa and Africans.
