Between Times
Marc Karlin
1993 - 50 min - 16 mm - Couleur - Royaume-Uni

An essay on the future of the British Left, "Between Times" travels through the ideas and questions informing contemporary debates on Tony Blair's programme. It takes the form of a conversation between A, a socialist who believes in the possibility of working-class self-activity and Z, a postmodernist for whom the effort to resist is pointless. Is it still possible, even desirable, to draw a political map? Karlin aims to reveal the assumptions and consequences buried in the spin.
