From Germany to France to Sweden to England, this is a journey through the drunken Saturday evenings of young Europeans.
In Germany, we follow young alcoholics in a disintoxication centre. In the Michaelshof clinic, young people try to rebuild their lives. They learn to face up to life, their life. In London, we discover the alcoholism of youngsters on the night of a football match, before continuing the night in a fashionable bar in the capital, in the company of young English girls very much under the influence. At Limoux in the south of France, we share the festive alcohol and the pride of the young men of the area at a moment of great excitement : it is carnival time. Finally in Sweden, the night is spent in an emergency unit specializing in teenagers found dead drunk on the public highway at night.
Four European cities, four portraits of young people. A human, brutal and moving film which shows the devastation caused by alcohol and the solutions that are being tried out.
