L'Émigration suisse en Patagonie chilienne
Camilo Cienfuegos
2006 - 57 min - Digital vidéo - Suisse
Patagonia is a hard, inhospitable, wild area at the end of the world. And yet, a wave of European immigrants managed to settle in the raw, barren and lonely climate of these areas, amongst them countless Swiss who made Chilean Patagonia their home.
Between 1874 and 1877 the confederation and Chilean authorities promoted a colonization process and 120 Swiss were resettled in Agua Fresca, near the regional capital of Punta Arena.
