À travers chants avec la Maîtrise de Radio France
Michel Follin
1999 - 43 min - France

They are aged between nine and eighteen ; chosen solely for their predisposition for singing, they are the pupils of the Maîtrise de Radio France, a singing school which also trains a choir of professional children. For several months, the producer Michel Follin witnessed the learning process of these young choristers. From Paris (where their school is located), he followed, in close collaboration with their choir director Tony Ramon, their daily life, their free time, their work, their concerts.
This documentary is also a chance to discover the richness of a repertoire from the angle of teaching it and developing an interpretation.
With excerpts from the "War Requiem" (B. Britten), "Litanies à la Vierge Noire" (F. Poulenc), "Angelus ad pastores" and "Ego sum panis vivos" (Casanoves), "Histoire vraie" (J. Joubert) and "La Chanson de la Seine" (J. Prévert / F. Vellard).
