Back in the 60's, we follow a group of civil rights activists, the "Freedom Riders" who, black and white, actively rode interstate buses into the deep South to desegregate travel facilities. Brutally attacked, they eventually challenged the federal government's inaction to reverse decades of segregation and provide equality for all.
