In 1965 my parents settled as farmers on the borders of the Auxois and the Morvan ; for thirty years they cultivated the land. This year, however, the last preparations for the harvest were more solemn and words more weighty because this year it was the last harvest.
I have made a film of these last moments, a film on the actions my parents repeated, year after year, to make out of these pieces of ground a farm a large family could live on.
A film with seven voices, as we are seven, telling of what farming parents hand on to their five children not one of whom wants to take over the farm. A tribute to small farmers who are silently disappearing, one by one.
